Live Like A Cat Day 2014

The 7th Annual Live Like A Cat Day will take place on Saturday, January 11th, 2014. Surely we will all be using our hovercrafts by then. Mark it on your calendars, or get a tattoo. Now get back to work, no relaxing or enjoyment for another year.

We Did It!

We successfully celebrated the 6th Annual Live Like A Cat Day on Saturday. Many past Live Like A Cat Days have actually been spent working--how rude. But not this day. We enjoyed ourselves. The day included the following:

Breakfast out at our favorite local diner
French Toast
Coffee with cream
Minimal food throwing from toddler
A BIG LONG AFTERNOON NAP
Dinner with visiting family
FREE BABYSITTING!!
An evening playing Bingo (this is the place to be in our tiny town)
WINNING BINGO!!
Laying on the couch watching multiple episodes of 30 Rock on Netflix.
Adult beverages.

I have no idea what Bobo did all day. I chose to ignore her.

We hope you had a marvelous day. Meow.

The 6th Annual Live Like A Cat Day will take place on Saturday, January 12th 2013. We all know the world is going to end in 2012 (UPDATE: THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN MUCH) so let's cross our fingers, or our paws. Surely the Mayans had cats and would want to continue celebrating!

The above photo shows Bobo, in her thinner days, demonstrating the perfect way to take a nap: body on pillow, head on hard, awkward ledge.

Fireplace Bobo

Bobo wants you to know that this is her fireplace, not yours, not the other cat the lives in this house, not the baby, not the person who pays the mortgage. It is hers and she likes to play Victorian Lady when she is in it.
